We use no tracking cookies by default. Only two strictly necessary local-storage entries, both kept on your device.
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Roadster Info uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, on https://roadster-info.us. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site save small pieces of data on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage is not automatically sent to the server with every request.
These technologies can be "first-party" (set by the site you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain), and "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (kept until they expire or you delete them).
3. What we use
By default, the Site uses only the strictly necessary items below. None of them identify you, and none are shared with anyone.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ri_consent | Local storage, first-party | Remembers your privacy choices and whether a GPC signal was detected | Until you clear browser data | Strictly necessary |
ri_checklist_v1 | Local storage, first-party | Saves your buyer's-checklist progress on your device; set only when you tick an item and never sent to us | Until you reset the checklist or clear browser data | Strictly necessary (functionality you request) |
4. Optional categories
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics. If we introduce an analytics service, it will remain switched off until you opt in, and we will list each cookie here before it goes live.
Marketing & personalization
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies. This category stays off unless you opt in, and it is always off when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
5. Third-party services
The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google receives your IP address and browser information when the fonts are requested. Google states that the Google Fonts API does not set cookies or use this data to build profiles. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
6. Managing your preferences
- On this Site: open at any time to change your choices.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically keep marketing technologies off.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Clearing site data will also reset your privacy choices and checklist progress.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we add, remove or change the technologies we use, and revise the "Last updated" date above.
